Udaipur takes in more than two million visitors a year and the number keeps climbing. It already has good car rental operators — people who have been doing this since the eighties, whose customers write warm reviews about honesty and a smooth handover.

So the gap was never service. It was that none of it is findable, bookable or provable.

A traveller planning a trip from London at midnight cannot find the good operator in Udaipur, cannot pay them with a card, cannot see what the car actually looks like, and has no way of knowing whether the deposit will come back. So they either overpay an international booking site or take their chances.

The other half of it is the driving itself. The best things around Udaipur — Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur, Chittorgarh, Mount Abu — all sit in a band between 40 and 170 kilometres out. Too far to take an auto, too unpredictable to hand to a fixed tour. It is the exact range where having your own car changes the trip completely, and where knowing which fort to reach before midday matters more than the make of the vehicle.

That is the company we set out to build: the local road knowledge, written down properly, and a car that comes with proof rather than promises.
