Sometimes the right answer is not to drive

Most self-drive companies would prefer you took the car and left them out of it. We would rather you had a good week in Mewar.

If you have never driven in India, the honest position is this: the highways to Chittorgarh and Mount Abu are genuinely fine — wide, well surfaced, predictable. The old city lanes around Jagdish Chowk are not, and neither is an unlit rural road after dark with oncoming full beams.

So a lot of our guests do the sensible thing and split it: a driver for the long highway days, the keys for pottering around the lakes. You can switch mid-booking and we will only charge for the driver days you actually used.
